| The SOS Children's Village also provides youth houses, semi-independent housing, and a graduate association to its children. We employ a full-time psychologist and social worker that work with each individual child to ensure their adjustment to village lifestyle, emotional development and educational success. This counseling team also works together with the mothers and the children to develop personal development plans for each child. These plans are revised and revisited every month to evaluate each child¡¦s individual educational and emotional progress. A children¡¦s doctor visits the village weekly for an on-site medical clinic provided for all the children.
The SOS Bethlehem also provides much needed services to the larger community with a kindergarten, a grade school, psycho-social medical centers, and a prevention of child abandonment program. [Back] |
