SOS Children’s Villages Palestine and Bank of Palestine signed a cooperation agreement to support the organization’s Family Strengthening programme in the West Bank. The agreement signed in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Shtaya, Chairman of the SOS Children’s Villages Advisory board and Mr. Rushdi Al-Ghalayini, Director General of Bank of Palestine, as well as SOS Children ‘s Villages Palestine team.
The agreement aims at enabling Bank of Palestine from supporting target group within the Family Strengthening Programme provided by SOS Palestine, through a joint vision of Felistenyah programme affiliated to Bank of Palestine.
For his part, Shtaya said that the Global SOS Children’s Villages’ role is to protect children of the Palestinian society and provide them with the necessary care to lead a dignified life. He thanked Bank of Palestine for its generous contribution in supporting SOS Children Villages Palestine. Stressing that sustainable social responsibility is a model that should be disseminated to its positive impact on community development in Palestine.
Mr. Roushdi Al-Ghalayini appreciated the role of the Global SOS Children’s Villages in their continuous efforts to develop the necessary tools to help children to continue their lives in social and educational environment, stressing that the Bank’s support for SOS Palestine is a humanitarian and national duty.
Bank of Palestine, in its responsibility to serve the Palestinian community, allocates a portion of its annual profits to support social responsibility projects and activities by contributing to the development of several aspects, including empowerment of women, which contribute to maintaining the basic structure of the family and behold children.
