A support agreement for marginalized families had been signed between the Yatta Charitable Society and SOS Children’s Village in Bethlehem. The agreement aims at providing financial and moral support to poor families in Yatta who need support in caring for their children to enable them to stay with their children, protect them from disintegration and homelessness, and enable them from reliance on themselves. Where 10 poor families will be nominated to help them within a single family plan for one year.
The signing of the agreement was part of the SOS Children’s Villages Family Strengthening Program in the southern West Bank and Gaza to strengthen poor families’ ties and enable them to take care of their children, as well as the added experience of the Yatta Charitable Society in the implementation of humanitarian projects, family care and securing the best means of living.
This agreement is the first cooperation and partnership in supporting families between Yatta Charitable Society and SOS Children’s Villages in order to include more families and support them to stabilize and preventing their disintegration.
The agreement was signed by SOS Children’s Villages National director Mr. Mohammed Shalaldeh, Mrs. Lubna Al Anani, Director of the Social Development Directorate in Yatta, Mr. Yassin Samirat, Treasurer of the Yatta Charitable Society, Ms. Randa Darwish, the Coordinator of the Child Protection Network in Yatta, and the team of the Family Strengthening Program at SOS children’s village Bethlehem.
For his part, the National Director Mr. Mohammed ALShalaldeh expressed his happiness with the signing of this agreement. He welcomed the joint cooperation between SOS Children’s Villages and Yatta Charitable Society to reach and assist the marginalized families and children in Palestine.
