In response to the challenges facing Youth in the Middle East and North Africa region, Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates, hosted the “Investing in the future MENA 2018” conference that was organized by the big heart foundation. The conference that was held under the theme ‘Youth – Crisis Challenges and Development Opportunities, aimed to recognize youth as a major power for change and development and to focus on humanitarian and development challenges in the MENA region. Rania Amira, one of semi-independent SOS youth at SOS Children’s Villages-Palestine and member of International Youth Coalition presented her speech at the conference where she participated and shared her view and hopes for the future on behalf of Palestinian youth. Ahmad Dandees who is also a member of the International Youth Coalition presented another speech were he illustrated the youth challenges in Palestine. The Youth coordinator Zuhair Zboon also represented youth coordinators for the region at the conference.
